The inspiration behind building this project was the need for greater transparency in the job application process. Many job seekers feel like they're sending their resumes into a black hole and have no way of knowing whether their application has been viewed or considered.

I wanted to create a tool that would help provide job seekers with more visibility into the hiring process. By tracking and logging the number of times a resume is opened or viewed, this project aims to give job seekers the information they need to follow up more effectively and feel more confident in their job search.

Unfortunately, this project was not viable. Despite spending more than 20 hours on it, I was unable to find a reliable method for tracking PDF opens, as most PDF readers block external requests.
